RCI® Affiliate Access Program Welcomes Advanced World Concepts, Inc.
to Offer Resorts Discounted Pricing on Reserve Analysis and Management Services

Parsippany, N.J. (September 9, 2014) – RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands (NYSE: WYN), announced a new agreement with Advanced World Concepts, Inc. (AWC), the originator of the PRA System, a leading provider of reserve management analysis services. Through the agreement, AWC will offer discounted pricing for their services to RCI affiliated resorts through the company’s RCI Affiliate Access program.

“We are pleased to welcome AWC and their proprietary PRA System into the RCI Affiliate Access program and are thrilled to now be able to offer best-in-class reserve management services in addition to the many other valuable resources we can provide our affiliated resorts,” said Kris Jamtaas, senior vice president, Affiliate Partners and Services for RCI. “This is yet another example of the ways RCI is leveraging our resources to provide solutions that help resorts operate more efficiently.”

For more than 25 years, the PRA System has provided the platform for reserve analysis and management, which helps resorts ensure that their physical quality is maintained while keeping maintenance fees in check year after year. Through the RCI Affiliate Access program, RCI affiliated resorts will receive discounts ranging from 15 to 30 percent on initial license and annual subscription fees of the PRA System. In addition, AWC has a network of PRA Consultants that utilize the PRA System for providing reserve study/management plan reports.

Developed to offer affiliates with a one-stop resource for procuring valuable services at attractive pricing, RCI Affiliate Access also provides customizable solutions for other services that are critical to successful and efficient resort operations. These include accounting and insurance services, marketing data solutions, survey deployment, sales training, revenue management and analytics, contact center resources, video and photography services, inventory rental solutions and maintenance fee billing and collection.

July 9, 2014 - We have attended four timeshare conferences in the last two months promoting PRA System generated reserve studies: ARDA, VRI, TPI (VRI & TPI was a combined conference), TBMA and Amdetur. Our goal is to drive potential timeshare reserve study production to PRA Consultant users on our web site Google maps:

For United States: http://www.prasystem.com/en/reserve-studies/pra-consultants.html

For Canada: http://www.prasystem.com/en/reserve-studies/rfa-consultants.html

The PRA System was originally designed for dealing with all the different dimensions of timeshare properties and ownership. PRA barely has to flex it's muscles when producing the less dimensional wholly-owned property reserve studies. The following documents are recommended for your review and as a resource when bidding and educating potential timeshare developers, management and board member clients:

  • Timeshare Reserve Study Planning Matrix
  • Timeshare Reserve Study Presentation (slideshow)
  • Timeshare Reserve Study Report (sample)
  • Reserve Management Plan - Unit Interiors (article)
  • Excel Import/Export Flow Chart

To access these documents use the following link:

http://www.prasystem.com/en/system/overview/timeshare-reports.html

Educating developers, management and board members via the matrix will highlight what they should be looking for in a timeshare reserve study report. The PRA System is the only reserve study software which possesses unit tracking for timeshare interiors. This allows for individual inventories by unit and per model type. Your competitors not using the PRA System treat unit interior items the same as common area items which can not produce individual unit inventories which is important in the timeshare industry.

A PRA System timeshare reserve study goes up and beyond with contribution calculations by model types and the cash management module for tracking individual financial instruments.

July 18, 2013 - Advanced World Concepts, Inc. Licenses Reserve Study Software to Dubai Company (released by Lennon Communications Group, Inc.) - Advanced World Concepts, Inc.(AWC), developers of the nationally respected Property Reserve Analysis (PRA) System (www.prasystem.com) has recently announced the licensing of PRA Core Engineto Reserve Fund Analysis FZE, (RFAF), a Dubai Freezone Company to provide reserve study/management software for hospitality properties.

According to AWC founder and industry pioneer Bill Chaffee, RRP, “The Dubai entity will serve as an exclusive authorized reseller for our proprietary system in the Middle East, Northern Africa and India. Branded RFA Professional, the system will be licensed to individual homeowners’ associations (or stratas) and management companies for wholly owned properties and timeshare ownership resorts within these regions.“

Currently in English, the system is being customized for date, multiple currencies and language formats, the first being in Turkish. This is the third branded reseller license issued by AWC. The others are in the United States and Canada, where the Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers recently adopted a branded version of the PRA core engine, RFA (Reserve Fund Analysis) Pro which is required to be used for their DRP (Designated Reserve Planner) certification designees. Canada passed legislation requiring all stratas to have reserve studies completed by the end of 2013. With this new license, the PRA Core Engine is now utilized in 33 countries.

The connection between AWC and the Dubai entity came about when they did an Internet search for reserve study software, which lead them to the Canadian authorized reseller of the PRA core engine. Since their affiliation, Chaffee has traveled to Dubai to provide training along with strategic planning for marketing and licensing the RFA Professional system.

The first licensee for the RFAF is Reserve Fund Specialists (FZE), a subsidiary of PRD Nationwide Group, a diversified property services and surveying company offering regional developers operational consultancy guidance to enhance the long-term value and sustainability of their projects.

The principals of RFAF have over 75 years of combined international experience in residential and resort real estate planning, development and property management in the U.S., Australia, UK, China, UAE, Oman, Fiji, Vietnam and Singapore. They have served as principle advisors to the Dubai Government on the drafting and formation of their Jointly Owner Property Laws and to the Abu Dhabi Municipality on real estate law reforms, in which strata laws are to be a component. They also played a leading role in structuring and documenting the community governance of many of the region’s largest and most complex buildings and communities, including the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world at 166 stories (2,716.5 feet).

Bill Chaffee designed the first reserve study software more than two decades ago in 1989 to support individual owner associations, property management and reserve study companies. The PRA System enables resorts to quickly and efficiently track reserve items, develop budgets, and projections for their associations as well as support for reserve fund investments. PRA is the only reserve management software which has received an independent CPA Quality Assurance Evaluation for logic and accurate calculations.

Concludes Chaffee, “It amazes me that only about 30 percent of today’s timeshare resorts take a serious approach to funding reserves. Having such a plan in place can have a huge impact on the future financial health of properties.  Clearly, our new affiliate in Dubai has recognized the need for funding reserves. It is regrettable that some of our U.S. resorts have not had the same vision.”

December 5, 2012 -Advanced World Concepts, Inc. (AWC) is pleased to announce that the PRA System is compatible with Microsoft's new operating systems, Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro, which were released on October 26th.

The PRA System is completely compatible with "Touch Screen" technology which does not require a physical keyboard. Users can use their finger, a stylus, or the on-screen keyboard that is available with iPads and touch screen smart phones. The only current draw back that was found is that the touch screen keyboard is basically oversized. Research says that re-sized keyboards (or number pads only) will be available in the next few months that you will be able to download and install.

Based on this new technology and utilizing a laptop or tablet with a camera, AWC is working on the ability that you will be able to take images/pictures directly from the system. This will be a valuable time saver for taking images/pictures in the field. There will be many hardware (laptop and tablet) options that will be available in the next three months.

September 13, 2012 - Advanced World Concepts, Inc. (AWC) is pleased to announce that The Canadian National Association of Real Estate Appraisers (www.cnarea.ca) has adopted a branded version of the PRA System called RFA (Reserve Financial Analysis) Pro System. Canada passed new Strata (HOA in the United States) laws that will require all Stratas to have a reserve study done by the end of 2013. CNAREA currently has aproximately 600 certified appraisers. The new Strata laws requires that reserve study preparers must be certified to perform sites inspections and produce a reserve study report. CNAREA's first Reserve Study Certification Course will be November 12 through 15, 2012 at The Beach Club Resort located in Parksville, Vancouver Island BC. The CNAREA Reserve Study Certification Course fee will include the attendee's initial license fee for the RFA Pro System. Bill Chaffee, Founder and President of Advanced World Concepts, Inc., will be attending this initial course and will do the hands on training of the RFA Pro System.

September 12, 2012  - Advanced World Concepts, Inc. (AWC) is pleased to announce that Bill Chaffee, RRP will be spotlighted in ARDA's (American Resort Development Association - www.arda.org) November/December Development magazine. Bill was asked to reply to the following question: What do you think will be the most important technological trend of the next few years? Bill's reply was as follows:

"This question would probably be answered best by someone with Jules Verne or Stanley Kubrick’s vision of the future. The Richter scale measures the power and magnitude of an Earthquake. Maybe it could measure how fast and far technology has come and where it is going.

Technology changes with the blink of an eye. Think for just a moment about how the iPad 2 would have been considered one of the most powerful super computers in the world in the year 1985. The Curiosity rover is currently on Mars playing with its private rock collection. The first helicopter drone has just been launched helping to eliminate the loss of our Military lives. And, the Ronald Reagan Nimitz-class aircraft carrier nuclear reactors can essentially travel an unlimited distance for at least 20 years.

In the business world, we were once tied to our offices because that was where the computers were located. That has all changed with the Internet. Via laptops, tablets and smart phones, we are now a mobile society and have unlimited flexibility in how we can produce. We have the ability to accumulate an unlimited amount of data about our current and potential customers. The amazing thing is that only approximately 5% of that data is being utilized when competing for market share dollars. The companies that figure out how to tap into the other 95% will be the winners. The proof is in the success of Google and Yahoo. How Technology continues to be developed for mining and analyzing data will be an important factor in how the business world competes in the future.

With regards to the Vacation Ownership industry, technology will transform properties and those that manage them into a much more sophisticated group.  Turning the asset and facilities management into a long range “Planning Process” which will help conserve valuable time, save money and provide a better experience for owners and guests in the future."

The new Master List Selection module allows the selection of multiple reserve items by <clicking> check boxes from a Master List (with notes included) into a property. Beta testing provided the following results: 55 common area-logistic reserve items entered along with adjusting when the reserve items would be replaced or maintained, was achieved in 30 minutes.

August 4, 2011 – Advanced World Concepts, Inc. (AWC), developers of the Property Reserve Analysis (PRA) System – reserve management software for timeshare resorts - has announced software licensing agreements with Club Meliá, Breckenridge Grand Vacations and the Christie Lodge.

Explained AWC founder and industry pioneer Bill Chaffee, RRP, “The PRA System (www.prasystem.com ) will enable these developers and resorts to quickly and efficiently track reserve items, develop budgets, and projections for their associations as well as support for reserve fund investments. While utilizing this system, a property can be setup, data entered and a report produced in hours or days instead or weeks or months, providing all the necessary reports to enable the Board of Directors and management to make informed decisions.”

Club Meliá (formerly Sol Meliá Vacation Club), has licensed the PRA software for their 18 properties in Panama, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the Canary Islands and mainland Spain. “We found that the PRA System lived up to everything that was advertised while being extremely user-friendly,” says David Aparicio, Controller for Club Meliá, which is an affiliate of the Gran Meliá hotel chain with over 300 resorts globally.

Breckenridge Grand Vacations recently licensed PRA for their eight owner associations, as well as the Christie Lodge in Avon, Colorado. Island One Resorts in Florida and Welk Resorts used the DOS version since the early 90s and were converted to the Internet version in 2007. Today, over 50 individual timeshare resorts utilize the PRA system. FARROW Commercial (www.farrowcommercial.com) has produced more than 40 reserve management reports in the past year utilizing PRA.

Chaffee designed the first reserve study software more than two decades ago in 1989 to support individuals, associations, and property management and reserve study companies. Properly crafted plans ensure that reserve funds are available when needed for long-term maintenance, refurbishment or replacement of reserve items in common-interest-development properties. PRA is the only reserve management software which has been CPA evaluated for logic and accurate calculations.

PRA licensees receive round-the-clock support and are thoroughly trained in using the system, which simplifies financial analyses and processes while guiding the user to a desired solution without the need of software or accounting knowledge. An employee can be taught to use the system in about two hours, while a property’s complete plan can be produced in hours or days.

Says Chaffee, “We are proud that our latest version is setting new standards for reserve study software and for the preparation of reserve management plans. Unfortunately, the industry is not keeping pace with properly maintaining resorts due to the economy, increasing unpaid maintenance fees or boards that try to keep fees low by not funding reserves. This can have a huge domino effect on the entire industry. These are dangerous decisions which can have a negative impact on the resort’s exchange company ratings as well as its future financial health,” added Chaffee. “But if you systematically fund your reserves, this will not happen.”

To learn more about the PRA System, contact Bill Chaffee at (858) 755-8877 or email him at bill.chaffee@prasystem.com
